It could reveal who the victim was with the night he was killed.

When the smoke clears, the caller finds her boyfriend shot and killed. With information from the girlfriend, lead detective Leigh Maroni must now track down the man last seen with the victim and determine whether he is a witness or the potential killer.

With a list of dangerous priors, including assaulting a police officer, this aggravated felon is not your ordinary criminal; he is an apparent silent partner in a busy nightclub in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. Tommy enlists the help of Commander Lenny DePaul in assembling a group of U.S. Marshals for a big undercover operation. But there is a problem with the club and the team has to send unarmed and unprotected undercover agents into a very risky scenario. On a cold rainy night, the U.S. Marshals sit and wait until the wee hours of the morning in the hopes of surprising.

While scouring two different cities the teams race to find their fugitive before he slips away again.
