Dixie State College baseball came out of the gates quickly blowing out host Mesa State 16-2 in the opening game of a four-game series on Tuesday afternoon. The Mavericks bounced back in the doubleheader nightcap defeating the Red Storm 5-3 at Suplizio Field.

DSC Baseball Splits Tuesday Games with Hilo
Preston Grimes fell one out shy of a complete game on Tuesday night as Dixie State beat Hawaii-Hilo 8-3 in the day’s opening game. DSC then fanned a season-high 11 times against southpaw Kekoa Lee dropping a chance to sweep the Vulcans losing 5-1 in the nightcap.
